Sports News: Bangladesh captain Litton Das faced a back strain ahead of their Super Four match against India. He suffered a back strain during a training session at the ICC Academy Ground on September 22. Litton felt pain on the left side of his waist while attempting a square cut in the nets and had to leave the session after being assessed by team physiotherapist Bayzid ul Islam.
Medical Check-Up Pending
A BCB official told Cricbuzz on Tuesday, "We will check on Litton today. From outside, he looks fine, but a proper medical assessment is needed before making a final decision." Although Litton did not seem to be in serious pain, missing him would be a big setback for Bangladesh.
Captaincy Uncertainty
It is also not clear who will lead the team if Litton cannot play, as the BCB has not announced a deputy for the tournament. Bangladesh had started their Super Four journey with a strong win over Sri Lanka.
